On the afternoon of October 30, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced the list of players for the Vietnamese men's and women's futsal teams to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of the year.
The Vietnamese women's futsal team will officially gather in Ho Chi Minh City on November 2 and practice a day later.
According to the plan, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team will have more than 4 weeks of preparation in Ho Chi Minh City before going to China for training, including two friendly matches with the Chinese women's futsal team in early December.
Sharing about the team's goal, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "The whole team is determined to reach the final and aim for the best results at SEA Games 33. We will try our best to prepare well to achieve this goal."
In addition to the key players, the Vietnamese women's futsal team in this training session has the addition of a number of young players such as Tran Tuyet Mai, Lam Thi Xuan, Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong (Thai Son Nam Futsal Club, Ho Chi Minh City); Nguyen Huynh Nhu (Thong Nhat Sports Center) and Nguyen Phuong Anh ( Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports).
Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang emphasized: "The current squad is a combination of experience and youth. We will make adjustments to our playing style and speed, aiming for positive changes, not only for the upcoming SEA Games but also for the long-term goals of Vietnamese women's futsal."

Meanwhile, the Vietnam futsal team will gather on November 10 in Ho Chi Minh City. During this gathering, coach Diego Giustozzi continues to put his trust in the pillars who have proven their ability and experience in international competition.
Besides, the Vietnamese futsal team also welcomes the return of two experienced ala Tran Thai Huy and Ngo Ngoc Son.
This duo, along with Nguyen Minh Tri and Pham Duc Hoa, are all players who contributed greatly to the historic journey of helping Vietnamese futsal to participate for the first time in the 2016 Futsal World Cup Finals.
Notably, coach Diego Giustozzi also gave a chance to rookie Nguyen Tien Hung, a promising young player who grew up from the Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City training center.
This player was recently honored as "Best Player" of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City U20 Futsal Open Tournament, which is expected to increase the team's competitiveness in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team is in Group B with Indonesia and Myanmar. The reigning women’s futsal champion Thailand is in Group A with Malaysia and the Philippines. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The men's event only has 5 participating teams, so the Vietnamese futsal team will play a round robin with defending champions Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar to determine the final ranking.
