At the conference, delegates listened to the speakers present in 5 thematic sessions and 1 afternoon workshop, focusing on analyzing the current situation and impact of the two diseases osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and at the same time providing effective intervention solutions. Many clinical and pathological aspects of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis as well as the impact of these diseases on the elderly were also mentioned by the speakers, emphasizing the risk factors and comorbidities in the elderly, and introducing existing and upcoming solutions to improve the effectiveness of disease control and management.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Anh Thu, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Osteoporosis Association and Vice President of the Vietnam Rheumatology Association, said that osteoporosis and osteoarthritis are two of the most complex and common diseases in the field of rheumatology. These two diseases are related to each other, to many other important metabolic diseases, and are affected by many different factors, and are always of special concern to the World Health Organization.

This year's scientific conference continues to clarify the impact of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis on health and quality of life, analyze the current situation and solutions, especially emphasizing preventive solutions through proper nutrition, early diagnosis, timely treatment, and promising new treatment methods in the future.

Also within the framework of the conference, on May 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Osteoporosis Association will cooperate with Thien Hanh General Hospital and the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health to organize a continuing education course to update basic knowledge about osteoporosis and osteoarthritis for doctors at medical facilities in the province.
