On March 21, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association held the closing ceremony of the first comprehensive writing camp for literature and arts majors in 2024.
The creative camp attracted 24 members from the following majors: Fine Arts, Photography, Literature, Music , Folk Poetry, and Folk Art Collection and Research.
From March 12 to March 21, the delegation of artists visited a number of economic development models of Mai Son district, worked with the District Military Command, Regiment 754 (under the Military Command of Son La province) and went on field trips to 2 communes: Chieng Noi, Muong Chanh, Mai Son district. The delegation was provided with documents, visited economic development models, bright examples of building a new lifestyle, building new rural areas, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, etc. At the places where the delegation worked and went on field trips, the delegation presented a number of literary and artistic publications published by the Association to be kept in the bookcases of the district and 2 communes of Chieng Noi, Muong Chanh to propagate, introduce and promote literary and artistic works to the public and people of all ethnic groups in the area.
At the end of the creative camp, the Organizing Committee received 77 works, manuscripts, outlines, and sketches from 24 members attending the camp, including 36 specialized literary works; 7 works of ethnic poetry; 1 outline of a work collected and researched on folk literature; 4 musical works; 10 fine art sketches; 19 photographic works.
According to the assessment of the Organizing Committee of the creative camp, the works ensure the professional requirements set out, closely follow the content and theme; clearly reflect the economic and social development models; military, defense and security work of the District Military Command, training work of Regiment 754 and achievements in the cause of innovation in the land and people of Chieng Noi and Muong Chanh communes of Mai Son district.
Many works, sketches, and manuscripts have been deeply exploited by artists and writers about many aspects of the daily life of ethnic people, the changes in Mai Son homeland; and the training work of officers and soldiers of Regiment 754. Besides, there are some works, manuscripts, and sketches with artistic quality, full of creative emotions of artists before the beauty of nature and people full of romance with different perspectives and languages.
