Meeting to celebrate "Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day October 13"

On October 13, Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to celebrate "Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day October 13" in 2023 with the theme "Ninh Thuan Enterprises Integrate and Develop". Attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Long Bien, Phan Tan Canh; representatives of Departments, branches, localities; Business Associations, Tourism Associations and enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province.

At the meeting, the Department of Planning and Investment briefly reported on the economic situation as well as the important contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs of the province. In the past time, the business community in the province has encountered many difficulties due to fluctuations in the general economic situation. However, with the determination of the local government and the consensus of the business community, the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 9 months of 2023 still achieved positive results: GRDP growth rate increased by 8.67% over the same period, State budget revenue reached 2,720 billion VND, equal to 74.4% of the annual plan, creating new jobs for 14,119 people, reaching 88.2% of the plan. Tourism activities continued to recover positively, with total revenue reaching 2,170 billion VND, up 32.8% over the same period, attracting nearly 2.67 million tourists, up 21.7%. In addition, the province always listens and provides timely support, removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses to effectively implement fiscal and monetary policies. Up to now, it has supported 54,943 businesses, business households and individuals with VND 1,404.5 billion, contributing to reducing difficulties for businesses and people to restore and develop production and business.

At the meeting, representatives of Business Associations and entrepreneurs expressed their gratitude for the attention and support of the Provincial People's Committee in the past time, for having practical policies, helping the business community have a safe development environment. At the same time, they expressed their determination to promote the achieved results, unite, overcome difficulties and challenges, and contribute to the overall development of the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, congratulated and praised the contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs in the province who have strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, making an important contribution to the growth and socio-economic development of the province in recent times.

He emphasized: The business community has an important position and role, and is one of the core forces contributing to promoting the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration; building and developing an independent, self-reliant economy, ensuring national defense and security. With the consistent policy of accompanying businesses, consistent with the spirit of development creation, he affirmed that the province will always support and create the most favorable conditions for businesses to operate in production, business and investment; continue to promote administrative reform, perfect institutions, and build a solid foundation for the sustainable development of businesses. He also expressed his hope that the business community and businessmen will continue to make efforts, be creative, and innovate to continue to be pioneers in industries and fields, and continue to accompany the province, contributing to building Ninh Thuan homeland to become more and more prosperous and developed.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee also awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Nam Thanh Ninh Thuan Construction - Trading & Production Company Limited for its outstanding achievements in production, business and social charity activities from 2017 to 2021; Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 14 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in production and business, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in 2023.
