On the evening of April 20, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club hosted Hoa Binh at home in round 15 of the 2024-2025 First Division.

Similar to the 0-0 draw in the first leg, Hoa Binh FC played very uncomfortably. In the 9th minute, the away team took the lead thanks to Van Tung from the 11m mark. In the situation leading to this 11m mark, goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong fouled Van Quy in the penalty area.

This victory helps Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club continue to maintain second place on the rankings with 33 points after 14 matches, 9 points behind the leading team Phu Dong Ninh Binh and still hopes to compete for the championship.

As for Cong Phuong, his increasingly better form after a long injury layoff is giving him hope of returning to the Vietnamese national team.

In the 2-0 win over host Khanh Hoa in round 14, Cong Phuong scored a double, creating a goal for Luu Tu Nhan. And now, he has scored a double himself, thereby returning to the top of the "Top scorer" list with 6 goals along with teammate Luu Tu Nhan.

If he continues to maintain his impressive form, Cong Phuong may be called back to the Vietnam national team by coach Kim Sang Sik in the training session at the end of May for the match against Malaysia in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
