World markets adjusted down

In contrast to the domestic increase, the world coffee futures market recorded a sharp decline. On the ICE Europe exchange (London), the price of Robusta coffee futures for December 2025 fell by 110 USD/ton to 4,521 USD/ton. The price of July 2026 futures also fell by 124 USD/ton, closing at 4,206 USD/ton.

On the ICE US exchange (New York), the price of Arabica coffee futures for December 2025 delivery fell 6.5 cents/lb to 400 cents/lb. Similarly, on the B3 Brazil exchange, Arabica coffee also fell sharply with a decrease of 13.55 cents/lb for the December 2025 delivery.

Analyze the causes of fluctuations

The contrast between the domestic and international markets is said to stem from a number of factors. In Vietnam, increased demand amid seasonal supply shortages has pushed prices up. Meanwhile, the international market may be in a technical correction phase after several previous strong increases.

However, supply factors remain in focus. According to Reuters, news of delays in coffee harvests in Vietnam due to floods has raised concerns among traders. Vietnam is the world’s largest producer of Robusta, so any disruption could impact global prices.

Bloomberg also said heavy rains are slowing the harvest in Dak Lak, a key coffee-growing province. Weather conditions are forecast to remain complicated, raising risks to the output and quality of coffee beans this crop year.
