Meanwhile, the prospects for trade talks between Brazil and the United States remain unclear, despite President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s insistence that he is open to dialogue.

International coffee prices fell only slightly on concerns that dry weather in many key growing regions could impact global production. Minas Gerais state, Brazil’s largest arabica growing region, received just 33.4 mm of rain in the week ending October 31, or 75% of the historical average, after almost no rain the previous week, Somar Meteorologia reported.

For the entire 2024/25 crop year, global exports reached 138.66 million bags, down 0.3%; with Arabica down to 84.14 million bags, and Robusta up slightly to 54.52 million bags.
