Rubber prices today, May 28, the market increased again in Singapore and Japan. Domestically, the purchase price of latex at Phu Rieng Rubber Company is at 440 VND/TSC/kg, mixed latex is at 400 VND/DRC/kg.

World rubber price

In Japan, the price of RSS3 rubber on the Tocom - Tokyo floor; The contract for delivery in June 2025 was at 328.2 JPY/kg, down 1.5%; The contract for delivery in July 2025 was at 330 JPY/kg, up 2.29%; The contract for delivery in August 2025 was at 330.5 JPY/kg, up 3.31%;

The September 2025 contract was at JPY 330/kg, up 0.4%; the October 2025 contract was at JPY 325/kg, down 0.58%; the November 2025 contract was at JPY 326.9/kg, up 0.31%; and the December 2025 contract was at JPY 323/kg, up 2.54%.

In Singapore, TSR20 rubber price on SGX; TSR20 rubber futures contract for June 2025 delivery traded at 169.80 cents/kg, up 0.35%; TSR20 rubber futures contract for July 2025 delivery traded at 170.50 cents/kg, up 0.18%;

The August 2025 TSR20 rubber futures contract traded at 170.00 cents/kg, down 0.06%; the September 2025 TSR20 rubber futures contract traded at 171.10 cents/kg, up 0.65%; the October 2025 TSR20 rubber futures contract traded at 170.00 cents/kg, down 0.06%.

On the supply side, according to government data, total rubber exports in the first quarter of Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia reached 1.76 million tons, almost unchanged from the same period last year; of which, Thailand increased by 1.8%, Indonesia increased by 7.6%, while Vietnam decreased by 7.5% and Malaysia decreased by 3%.

Currently, countries in Asia are entering the main harvest season. In Japan, the harvest season has begun and is expected to contribute to increasing global supplies.

However, in Thailand, the world's largest rubber producer, forecasts of heavy rain have raised concerns about the risk of flooding, which could disrupt production.

In Malaysia, the state of Sabah is trying to revive the rubber industry with modernization programs planned by the Rubber Smallholder Development Authority (RISDA), such as building high-tech warehouses, adopting advanced tapping techniques and promoting the production of value-added products, to improve productivity and ensure sustainable development of the industry.

On the demand side, the total rubber import volume in the first quarter of the US, EU and China reached 1.22 million tons, up sharply by 22.4% over the same period last year; of which, imports from China increased by nearly 50%, reaching 780.6 thousand tons, while the EU decreased by 10% to 255.4 thousand tons.

Strong demand from China, the world’s top rubber consumer, especially in the tire industry, has helped limit the decline in prices. China’s rubber tire exports in the first four months of 2025 rose 6.2% year-on-year to 3.03 million tons, according to customs data cited by Everbright Futures.

Notably, according to research firm Jato Dynamics, Chinese electric car maker BYD surpassed Tesla in the European market for the first time in April, with 0.92% higher deliveries.

This has eased market concerns, thereby providing important support for rubber prices in the market.

Domestic rubber price

In the domestic market, the purchase price of rubber latex at enterprises remains stable. Specifically, Phu Rieng Rubber Company purchases liquid latex at 440 VND/TSC/kg; mixed latex at 400 VND/DRC/kg.

Mang Yang Rubber Company, latex purchase price decreased by 18.5 VND, currently fluctuating between 397 - 401 VND/TSC, depending on the type. Accordingly, latex type 1 is at 401 VND/TSC/kg; latex type 2 is at 397 VND/TSC/kg.

Grade 1 mixed latex is at 409 VND/DRC/kg; grade 2 mixed latex is at 359 VND/DRC/kg.

The purchase price of latex at Binh Long Rubber Company is 386 - 396 VND/TSC/kg; mixed latex with 60% DRC is 14,000 VND/kg.

Ba Ria Rubber Company purchases level 1 latex at 452 VND/TSC degree/kg, applicable to TSC degrees of 30 or higher; level 2 at 447 VND/TSC degree/kg, applicable to TSC degrees from 25 to under 30; level 3 at 442 VND/TSC degree/kg, applicable to TSC degrees from 20 to under 25.

Cup latex, coagulated latex with DRC ≥ 50% at 18,000 VND/kg; cup latex, coagulated latex with DRC from 45-50% at 16,700 VND/kg; coagulated latex with DRC from 35-45% at 13,500 VND/kg.
