Rubber prices fell sharply on many major exchanges due to weak demand from the tire industry and expectations of a sharp increase in supply in June. Domestically, businesses kept rubber prices stable.

World rubber price

In the online session this morning, the price of TSR20 rubber on the SGX - Singapore continued to decrease in delivery periods. Specifically, the July 2025 contract decreased by 1.10 cents/kg, down to 157.60 cents/kg; August 2025 decreased by 0.90 cents/kg, down to 156.10 cents/kg.

June rubber futures price on the OSE - Japan decreased by 2.3% (7.1 Yen) to 299.7 Yen/kg.

In China, rubber prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange fell 1.2% (160 yuan) to 13,370 yuan/ton.

In Thailand, rubber futures prices for June were flat at 73.17 Baht/kg.

Rubber prices continued to plummet as the market feared supply would exceed demand in June. Typically, after a low production season (February-May), the rubber industry enters its peak exploitation period from June to September. Meanwhile, demand from the tire industry, which accounts for a large proportion of rubber consumption, is weakening, especially as the price war in the automobile industry has caused corporate profits to decline.

Domestic rubber price

Domestically, businesses have kept rubber prices stable. Specifically, Mang Yang Rubber Company purchases latex at around VND397 - 401/kg, depending on the type. Accordingly, grade 1 latex is priced at VND401/kg; grade 2 latex is priced at VND397/kg.

Grade 1 mixed latex is at 409 VND/DRC/kg; grade 2 mixed latex is at 359 VND/DRC/kg.

Ba Ria Rubber Company, the purchase price of liquid latex is at 410 VND/TSC degree/kg (applied to TSC degree from 25 to under 30), 10 VND/TSC higher than before; DRC coagulated latex (35 - 44%) is at 13,800 VND/kg, 300 VND higher than before; raw latex fluctuates from 17,200 - 18,500 VND/kg, 500 VND/kg higher than before.

The purchase price of latex at Binh Long Rubber Company is 386 - 396 VND/TSC/kg; mixed latex with 60% DRC is 14,000 VND/kg.

Phu Rieng Rubber Company purchases mixed latex at 400 VND/DRC, 5 VND/DRC lower than before; liquid latex also decreased by 5 VND to 435 VND/TSC.
