Pig price today in the North

According to a survey this morning, May 24, the price of live pigs in the North did not record any new fluctuations, remaining stable at around 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. The balance between supply and demand is the main factor helping this region keep prices stable throughout the past week.

Specifically, Bac Giang is still the locality with the highest price in the North, reaching 69,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh are purchasing live pigs at a lower price - 67,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces such as Hanoi , Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Tuyen Quang and Vinh Phuc are maintaining the price of 68,000 VND/kg.

The prolonged price stability shows that the Northern market has entered a "calm" state after small adjustments, with no signs of overheating or deep decline as in the first quarter.

Pig price today in the Central Highlands region

In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs today remains at the same level, trading in the range of 67,000 - 73,000 VND/kg. The significant price difference between provinces reflects differences in transportation conditions, farm size and consumption demand.

Binh Thuan continues to maintain the highest price in the region at 73,000 VND/kg. Provinces such as Lam Dong, Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan also recorded high prices, reaching 72,000 VND/kg. In contrast, Ha Tinh is the locality with the lowest price, only 67,000 VND/kg, equal to the floor price in the North.

Although there are no new signs of price increases, thanks to favorable weather and stable livestock input costs, the Central Highlands region is still considered stable and safe for local herd restoration.

Pig price today in the Southern region

The South continues to be the region with the highest live hog price in the country, with many localities maintaining the level of 74,000 - 75,000 VND/kg. According to records, Ben Tre , Long An and Tien Giang are the leading provinces with a price of 75,000 VND/kg - an ideal price for pig farmers in the context of high animal feed costs.

On the other hand, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Kien Giang and Soc Trang are the provinces that recorded the lowest price in the region, around 73,000 VND/kg. However, this level is still considered positive compared to the same period last year.

Traders said that the southern market still maintains stable purchasing power thanks to high demand from food processing plants and retail supply chains. The herd restoration is no longer as massive as before, contributing to keeping the price of live pigs high without creating oversupply pressure.

Pork price today

According to the latest survey, the price of Meat Deli chilled pork from winmart.vn continues to trend sideways, fluctuating between 119,922 - 163,122 VND/kg and is discounted by 20% according to the preferential program for WinMart members.

Accordingly, ground pork, lean pork leg and lean pork shoulder products are priced at VND119,922/kg, VND122,320/kg and VND126,320/kg respectively. Next, boneless ham and lean pork shoulder are sold at VND127,922/kg and VND157,520/kg respectively.

Similarly, the price of pork products at Ha Hien Fresh Food Company continued to not record any adjustment this morning, remaining in the range of 85,000 - 181,000 VND/kg.

Of which, pork shoulder and pork leg are still sold at the same price of 130,000 VND/kg. Next, pork belly is 159,000 VND/kg, pork tail is 168,000 VND/kg and pork ribs are 181,000 VND/kg.
