The dialogue and information session about Phu My Industrial Park project had about 300 people attending. The majority of opinions agreed with the project, requesting that investors need to deploy infrastructure quickly, synchronously, and modernly as committed.

Mr. Tran Minh Thong, Chairman of Phu My Dong Commune People's Committee, said that many people are still worried, raising their rights and interests regarding preferential policies on compensation, site clearance (GPMB), resettlement (TDC), social security and welfare, jobs for local children... Some opinions are concerned, asking provincial leaders and investors to commit to the environment, waste discharge, forest protection and climate change response...
Among them, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien (Thuan Dao village, Phu My Dong commune) said that the policy of building Phu My Industrial Park is correct, demonstrating the vision of the provincial leaders, and is highly agreed upon by the people. However, people hope that the relocation and resettlement process must ensure the principle of "the new place is better than the old place", and at the same time pay attention to the burial area for the deceased.

In addition, many opinions suggest that the government and investors prioritize training, recruiting local workers, and arranging jobs for older workers and disadvantaged households. In planning land fund development, attention should be paid to investing in transport infrastructure, trees, and protecting coastal protective forest areas.

Talking to people in the project area, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that in the long-term planning, Gia Lai aims to develop infrastructure, especially industrial infrastructure in the Northeast of the province. After completing Phu My Industrial Park Phase 1 and Phu My Port (total capital of over 10,000 billion VND), the province will continue to invest synchronously in coastal routes, connecting the expressway with this industrial park with the province's development driving forces.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang committed to the policy of compensation, support, resettlement, and social security for the people. Thereby, he directed the People's Committee of Phu My Dong commune to establish a compensation and site clearance working group with the supervision of 8 prestigious representatives in 4 villages affected by the project. Thereby emphasizing that the compensation process will be public and transparent; Mr. Hoang personally takes responsibility and directly handles all issues arising in the final step.
Regarding the resettlement area of the project, Gia Lai province will build infrastructure equivalent to Quy Nhon urban area, including asphalt roads and adequate water supply and drainage. The residential land limit when relocated will be kept as rural residential land. At the same time, the province will invest in a centralized burial area to serve the long-term needs of Phu My Dong commune.
In addition, Gia Lai province will set strict requirements on the environment and wastewater treatment in Phu My Industrial Park and will not accept projects with outdated technology and lacking wastewater and exhaust gas treatment systems. “Only investors and factories that fully meet modern standards will be approved by the province to invest in this industrial park,” Mr. Hoang further emphasized.
Regarding job creation for local workers, the Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the locality and related units to review each household, family circumstances, students and local workers. The spirit is that Phu My Industrial Park will give priority to workers not only in Phu My Dong but also in neighboring communes; at the same time, the province will issue policies to support vocational training and improve skills according to specific wishes...
