Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, representatives of leaders of Chu Se district, teachers, students and accompanying and sponsoring units.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism commented: Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day is an important cultural event for book lovers and the whole community, an opportunity to honor the value of books, honor readers and those who participate in collecting, composing, publishing, printing, distributing and preserving books.
To develop reading culture, the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that units and localities within their functions and management tasks will do a good job of propagating and mobilizing people to raise awareness of this issue; mobilizing the participation of the community and all social resources in investing in developing reading culture and activities so that Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day becomes a community festival.
“I hope that students will actively build a habit of reading books to continuously develop their intelligence, improve their awareness and personality, actively contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, and prepare each person with the best luggage on the path to entering a new era - the era of national growth” - Ms. Huong expected.

At the ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Library presented many reading promotion gifts to Nguyen Binh Khiem High School Library. Accompanying the program, Truong Xuan Joint Stock Company presented 20 gifts (VND 300,000/gift) to students who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies, contributing to encouraging and promoting the spirit of learning and love of books in the school.
Next, the launching ceremony of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day took place with many meaningful and attractive activities: Introducing the work "No Family" by writer Hector Malot; quizzing knowledge about books and newspapers; reading books of choice at the Mobile Library..., attracting a large number of students to participate enthusiastically.
This program is part of a series of activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day to continue spreading the love for books, building reading habits in every family and school, contributing to making reading culture a regular beauty in community life.
