Gia Lai: New information on the truck crash that killed 3 family members

On the evening of June 5, Chu Prong District Police coordinated with Gia Lai Provincial Police to examine the scene and perform an autopsy to investigate the cause of the tragic traffic accident that killed 3 family members.

The victim's family's motorbike was caught under the truck.

At about 4:45 p.m. the same day, truck with license plate 81H-010.45 driven by Mr. Hoang Xuan Tai (born in 1970, residing in Thang Loi ward, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province) was traveling on Provincial Road 663 in the direction of Bau Can commune to the center of Chu Prong district.

When reaching Hoang Yen village, Ia Phin commune, the truck crashed into a pickup truck moving slowly in the same direction ahead.

The victims' bodies were brought home, not far from the scene of the accident.

The truck then continued to hit the motorbike driven by Nguyen Quang Hoa (born in 1988), carrying his wife Nguyen Thi Kieu (born in 1992) and their 3-year-old son. The truck dragged the victim's family and the motorbike for a long distance before stopping.

The accident caused 3 people in Mr. Hoa's family to die on the spot.

According to many people present at the scene, at the time of the accident, the victim's family was waiting for the dump truck traveling in the opposite direction to stop dumping rocks.

According to the reporter, the road where the accident occurred is steep and winding. A drainage ditch is being constructed on this road. The construction unit dumped sand and rocks onto the road.
