The 2024 PCI rankings only announce the rankings of provinces and cities in the top 30. Accordingly, the top 3 positions in the rankings belong to Hai Phong (74.84 points), Quang Ninh (73.2 points) and Long An (72.64 points).

According to VCCI's assessment, the PCI results in 2024 show that provincial economic management continues to improve, with the median score reaching 67.67 points, an increase of 1 point compared to 2023. This is also the 8th consecutive year that the national median PCI score has exceeded the 60-point mark - the threshold reflecting a favorable business environment.
Gia Lai, once again, is not in the top 30 provinces and cities with the highest positions in the PCI rankings. According to the assessment, out of 10 component indices, Gia Lai has 4 indices that have increased compared to 2023, including: market entry with 8.62 points (up 1.61 points); business support policies with 8.27 points (up 2.24 points); labor training with 5.56 points (up 0.02 points) and legal institutions and security and order with 7.51 points (up 0.05 points). The remaining 6 component indices all decreased in score.

PCI 2024 marks the 20-year journey of this index being born and published in Vietnam. This is the last report covering all 63 provinces and cities before the merger of localities is carried out according to Resolution 74/NQ-CP of the Government on the promulgation of a plan to implement the arrangement of administrative units and build a 2-level local government organization model.
