Spring is around April and May, the Netherlands puts on a brilliant coat of millions of blooming tulips, Amsterdam is the ideal gateway for you to begin your journey to discover this captivating beauty. The must-see destination for tulip lovers is the famous Keukenhof flower garden.
Known as the "Garden of Europe", Keukenhof in Lisse is one of the largest flower gardens in the world . With more than 7 million meticulously planted tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and many other bulbs, Keukenhof offers an unforgettable symphony of color and fragrance. To see the flowers, the most popular way: Take the train from Amsterdam Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal) to Schiphol Airport (about 15-20 minutes). From here, you take the Keukenhof Express Bus (line 858) straight to the flower garden entrance (about 30-35 minutes). You should buy a Combo Ticket which includes the Keukenhof entrance ticket and a return bus ticket from Amsterdam (Schiphol, Leiden, or even some points in the center of Amsterdam depending on the season and the provider).
Located not too far from Keukenhof, Tulip Experience Amsterdam offers a different perspective on the Netherlands' iconic flower. This is not only a flower garden but also a living museum where visitors can learn about the history, cultivation and breeding of tulips. The most special thing is that you can bring the most brilliant tulips from the field home as souvenirs. Mr. Viet Dung from Hanoi shared: "I have dreamed of coming here for a long time and was really overwhelmed by its beauty. A sea of brilliant flowers, fresh air, taking pictures from every angle is breathtakingly beautiful. Only when I came here did I realize that the Netherlands is worthy of the title of the land of tulips." Minh Nguyet from Da Nang excitedly said: "We went during the peak blooming season, Keukenhof was like a fairy tale painting. The whole group took thousands of super beautiful check-in photos. At Tulip Experience, we were able to choose a bouquet of tulips to bring back to the hotel to arrange. An unforgettable experience."
Mr. Quoc Bao (28 years old, Ho Chi Minh City), who just had a trip combining Keukenhof and Tulip Experience, said: "Keukenhof is as magnificent as an art park with flower installations. Tulip Experience offers a more intimate experience. Learning about the history and how to grow and care for tulips is also very interesting. If you have time, I recommend everyone to go to both places to have a complete view."
