Immerse yourself in the cultural flow
The impressive opening ceremony took place right on the Ngo Dong River, amidst the poetic rice fields, attracting thousands of tourists and locals to participate, signaling a bumper tourist season for the ancient capital. People eagerly flocked to capture the first moments beside the golden rice fields.
As the boats carrying flags and typical products of each region glided on the water, delegates and visitors seemed to feel a strong connection with the cultural identity of Vietnam. The sound of gongs echoed throughout the space, blending with the sound of oars splashing water, creating a mesmerizing symphony that awakened all the senses.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: The feeling of sitting on a boat, watching the majestic landscape and witnessing traditional rituals was an unforgettable experience for me. I was not only a spectator but also felt like I was a part of this cultural flow.
The highlight of the Opening Ceremony was the live performance art program “The Golden Color of Tam Coc - The Fragrance of Land and Love of People”. The program especially focused on exploiting the natural beauty of the real scene and the lives of farmers - the owners of the golden color, through familiar, simple and emotional images. The dance performances were imbued with folk culture such as weaving dance, drum dance, straw dance, conical hat dance, combined with songs praising the beauty of nature and the hard but joyful working life of the people.
The audience at the Opening Ceremony expressed their delight at the elaborate and meaningful staging of each performance. In particular, the performances recreating the lives of farmers and the beauty of real scenes touched the hearts of the audience, creating an intimate, close and emotional atmosphere.
Right after the Opening Ceremony, many tourists moved to the Tam Coc rice fields to begin experiencing the “Golden Season” on small boats, admiring the painting “Carp Jumping Over the Dragon Gate” created on an area of nearly 10,000m2; participating in exciting sideline activities, enjoying local agricultural products...
Horsalie, a French tourist, could not hide his excitement: “I have seen pictures of Tam Coc in its golden season on the Internet, but seeing it in person is even more beautiful. The festival atmosphere is very vibrant, and the folk art performances are very impressive.”
Ms. Trinh Thi Hien, a resident of Van Lam village, Ninh Hai commune, shared with a bright smile: “Every year we look forward to the rice harvest season to enjoy the beautiful scenery and welcome tourists. This tourism week not only brings livelihood to the people but also helps promote our homeland more widely. We are all very happy and proud!”
A representative of the Organizing Committee said: “We have spent a lot of time and effort preparing for this year’s Tourism Week, with the desire to bring the best experiences to visitors. From landscape planning, building art programs to ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, everything is done meticulously. We hope visitors will have a memorable trip in Ninh Binh .”
