Domestic pepper prices are stable.
This morning (November 6), the domestic pepper market remained stable in key provinces, without any significant fluctuations. The purchasing price fluctuated from 145,000 - 147,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Dak Lak and Lam Dong continue to maintain the highest level of 147,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai maintained 146,000 VND/kg, while Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai remained the lowest at 145,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, pepper prices are under pressure from abundant end-of-season supply and the psychology of waiting for better prices from major importers.
World pepper prices slightly decreased in the Indonesian market
In the international market, pepper prices today recorded a slight differentiation among major producing countries. Indonesia decreased prices, while Brazil, Malaysia and Vietnam remained stable.
Indonesia: Lampung black pepper decreased by 370 USD/ton to 7,102 USD/ton (~187,131 VND/kg); Muntok white pepper decreased by 360 USD/ton to 9,737 USD/ton (~256,561 VND/kg).
Brazil: ASTA 570 black pepper stable at 6,100 USD/ton (~160,729 VND/kg).
Malaysia: ASTA black pepper remained at USD 9,200/ton, ASTA white pepper at USD 12,300/ton, unchanged from the previous session.
Vietnam: Black pepper 500g/l and 550g/l are respectively at 6,400 – 6,600 USD/ton, ASTA white pepper is 9,050 USD/ton (~238,459 VND/kg).
This shows that the world market is still in a period of price stability and cautious trading.
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in October 2025, Vietnam exported 19,430 tons of pepper, worth 129.5 million USD. Compared to the previous month, both volume and value decreased slightly, but still increased compared to the same period in 2024, marking the third consecutive month of export growth.
Average export price: black pepper 6,443 USD/ton, white pepper 8,392 USD/ton – slightly down compared to September.
Main export markets include: USA (4,283 tons), UAE (2,456 tons), China (1,214 tons), Thailand (772 tons) and Netherlands (682 tons).
In terms of businesses, Nedspice leads with 1,922 tons, followed by Phuc Sinh, Olam, Haprosimex JSC and Simexco Dak Lak.
Comments and outlook on pepper price trends
By the end of October 2025, total pepper exports reached 206,427 tons, with a turnover of 1.39 billion USD - down 5.9% in volume but up 25.4% in value.
Average export price increased sharply: black pepper 6,628 USD/ton (+36.6%), white pepper 8,683 USD/ton (+34.4%).
The US remained the largest market, while exports to China, the UAE and India all increased sharply, suggesting that global demand is recovering despite domestic pressures from financial costs and tax policies.
VPSA warned that the 5% VAT advance is causing many businesses and cooperatives to lack working capital, forcing them to temporarily stop purchasing, affecting cash flow and supply in the domestic market.
