The domestic pepper market this morning, November 5, 2025, remained stable in all key provinces. There were no strong fluctuations, the current purchase price fluctuated between 145,000 - 147,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, Dak Lak and Lam Dong both maintain the highest price, at 147,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai maintains the price at 146,000 VND/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai maintained the lowest price, at 145,000 VND/kg.
The market is under pressure from abundant end-of-season supply and the psychology of waiting for better prices from major importers.
Pepper price today November 5, 2025 on the international market
Pepper prices today, November 5, 2025, the international market continues to be divided between major producing countries. Indonesia recorded a slight decrease, while Brazil, Malaysia and Vietnam all remained stable.
Indonesia: Lampung black pepper prices decreased by 370 USD/ton to 7,102 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,131 VND/kg). Muntok white pepper prices also decreased by 360 USD/ton, currently at 9,737 USD/ton (about 256,561 VND/kg).
Brazil: ASTA 570 black pepper price remains at 6,100 USD/ton (equivalent to 160,729 VND/kg).
Malaysia: ASTA black pepper price is stable at 9,200 USD/ton (equivalent to 242,411 VND/kg), ASTA white pepper is at 12,300 USD/ton (about 324,093 VND/kg).
Vietnam: Black pepper 500g/l remained at 6,400 USD/ton (equivalent to 168,634 VND/kg). Black pepper 550g/l was stable at 6,600 USD/ton (about 173,904 VND/kg). ASTA white pepper remained unchanged at 9,050 USD/ton (equivalent to 238,459 VND/kg).
Vietnam's pepper exports in October 2025 decreased slightly, market demand remained stable
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), in October 2025, Vietnam exported 19,430 tons of pepper (16,464 tons of black pepper, 2,966 tons of white pepper), reaching a turnover of 129.5 million USD, a slight decrease compared to the previous month but an increase compared to the same period in 2024, marking the third consecutive month of increased exports.
Average export price in October: black pepper 6,443 USD/ton, white pepper 8,392 USD/ton, slightly down compared to September. Main export markets include the US 4,283 tons, UAE 2,456 tons, China 1,214 tons, Thailand 772 tons and the Netherlands 682 tons.
Regarding enterprises, Nedspice led exports in October with 1,922 tons, followed by Phuc Sinh, Olam, Haprosimex JSC and Simexco Dak Lak.
By the end of October 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 206,427 tons of pepper, worth 1.39 billion USD, down 5.9% in volume but up 25.4% in value thanks to a sharp increase in average export prices: black pepper 6,628 USD/ton (+36.6%), white pepper 8,683 USD/ton (+34.4%). The US remained the largest market for 10 months, while exports to China, the UAE and India increased significantly.
VPSA also noted that the pepper industry is under financial pressure from the 5% VAT advance, causing many business households, cooperatives and enterprises to temporarily suspend purchases, affecting cash flow and domestic export activities.
