At 9:00 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND79.5 million/tael (buy) - VND81.5 million/tael (sell), up VND300,000/tael (buy) but down VND200,000/tael (sell).
Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company reduced 300,000 VND/tael each way, to 79.4 million VND/tael (buy) - 81.4 million VND/tael (sell).
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed at 79.55 million VND/tael (buy) - 81.35 million VND/tael (sell), lower than last weekend by 50,000 VND/tael (buy) and 100,000 VND/tael (sell).
The price of gold rings decreased by 210,000-400,000 VND/tael (buying) and 250,000-400,000 VND/tael (selling), trading at 67.3-67.92 million VND/tael (buying) and 68.55-69.12 million VND/tael (selling).
In the international market, also at the same time, the gold price decreased by nearly 4 USD/ounce, trading at 2,152.7 USD/ounce, converted to about 16.7 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
In the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate of VND to USD, applied for March 18, is 1 USD = 23,994 VND, an increase of 15 VND compared to the end of last week.
At commercial banks, Eximbank listed at 24,510 VND (buy) - 24,880 VND (sell) per USD, up 20 VND and unchanged from the end of last week.
BIDV increased by 5 VND per USD, to 24,575 VND (buy) - 24,885 VND (sell).
Agribank kept the buying price unchanged and reduced the selling price by 10 VND, to 24,550 VND (buy) - 24,880 VND (sell). ACB kept the same price at 24,530 VND (buy) - 24,880 VND (sell).
