World gold price today March 30, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours

In the international market, the spot gold price was recorded at 3,083.39 USD/ounce, up 0.48 USD/ounce compared to the previous session. Converted at the current exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to about 97.56 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees), lower than the domestic gold bar price by nearly 3.14 million VND/tael.

Gold prices continued to rise sharply this week, erasing earlier doubts that $3,000 an ounce was too high. A surge in safe-haven flows fueled by geopolitical tensions, inflation and tariffs pushed gold prices closer to $3,100, with the peak just $13 below that mark.

Spot gold started the week at $3,024 an ounce and traded in a narrow range of around $10. Early in the North American session on Monday, gold was forced to test the $3,000 support level, but quickly bounced back and did not return to that level throughout the week.

The turning point came Wednesday evening, when Asian traders pushed gold above $3,037 at midnight. After a slight correction to $3,027, European investors continued to buy heavily, pushing gold to $3,055 early Thursday morning.

Although the North American session opened with gold near $3,040, prices quickly recovered and set a new high for the week, surpassing $3,057 just before noon. Strong buying from Asia then continued to help gold conquer new historical milestones such as $3,075 and even as high as $3,087 in the early morning of the following day.

In the North American trading session at the end of the week, gold prices stabilized around $3,075/ounce, and fluctuated slightly between $3,070 and $3,085 until the end of the day.

Gold price forecast

The latest survey from Kitco News shows that analysts are very optimistic about the gold price outlook next week, while individual investors only have a slight improvement in positive sentiment.

In this week’s Kitco News survey, 20 analysts participated, of which 15 (75%) expect gold to continue rising. Only one expert (5%) predicts a fall, while the remaining four (10%) believe gold will move sideways.

The online survey of individual investors received 202 votes, with 64% (129 people) predicting gold prices to increase, 19% (39 people) thinking gold prices will decrease, and 17% (34 people) predicting gold prices will stabilize next week.

FxPro expert Alex Kuptsikevich said that gold prices will continue to rise strongly in the coming time thanks to escalating trade tensions, a weakening USD and falling US stocks. He predicted that in the short term, gold prices could reach $3,180 in the next few weeks and further to $3,400 by the end of this summer.

On the other hand, Adam Button from Forexlive.com said that gold prices may fall slightly because the USMCA Agreement will ease trade tensions, but this is just a correction to buy.
