Domestic and world gold prices differ by more than 11 million VND/tael

Thus, after only a few hours, the price of SJC gold bars increased to 6.5 million VND/tael when the world gold price was moving straight up to the threshold of 3,300 USD/ounce.

At 2:30 p.m., the world gold price was at 3,298 USD/ounce, up 69 USD/ounce (equivalent to 2.17 million VND/tael) compared to yesterday.

Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 103.46 million VND/tael.

Domestically, SJC Company continuously raised the selling price of gold bars. At 10am this morning, the selling price of SJC gold bars was 111 million VND/tael.

However, in the early afternoon, the price of SJC gold increased by 2.9 million VND/tael, raising the selling price of gold to a new record: 113.9 million VND/tael.

But the increase has not stopped. At 2:45 p.m., the price of SJC gold bars jumped to 114.5 million VND/tael, when the world gold price was about to reach 3,300 USD/ounce.

The buying price of SJC gold bars jumped from 108.5 million VND/tael to 112 million VND/tael.

Compared to yesterday, the selling price of gold bars has increased by 6.5 million VND/tael this morning alone.

The selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company this afternoon also skyrocketed to 113.3 million VND/tael, buying at 110.3 million VND/tael.

The difference between buying and selling prices is 2.5 million VND/tael for both gold rings and gold bars.

At PNJ Company, the selling price of SJC gold bars this afternoon increased to the same level as the selling price at SJC Company, at 114.5 million VND/tael (selling) and 112 million VND/tael (buying).

PNJ brand 9999 gold ring price is sold at 113.2 million VND/tael, bought at 110.2 million VND/tael.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings skyrocketed to 113.9 million VND/tael, buying price was 111.4 million VND/tael.

If calculated from the beginning of last week until now, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by a total of 12.6 million VND/tael. This is a record increase in about 10 days. Those who bought gold at the threshold of 90 million VND/tael all made a huge profit.

Therefore, despite having to bear the difference between buying and selling prices of up to 2.5 million VND/tael, gold buyers have still recently made "huge" profits.

Therefore, it is understandable why this morning when domestic and world gold prices reached an all-time high, many people decided to take profits.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , this afternoon people lined up to sell gold at the SJC Company headquarters on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), mainly selling SJC gold bars. Some people sold only 1 tael but some also sold larger quantities.

Because the number of people waiting to sell gold is quite large, they have to line up and wait their turn to sell gold rings.

However, on the contrary, people buy 9999 gold rings.

The area where people buy gold rings and pay cash and the area where they wait for money transfers are very crowded, especially the money transfer area where customers sit in rows waiting for their turn. Many customers are impatient when the gold price keeps jumping.

Due to the high purchasing power, the selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company has gone from being more than 1 million VND/tael lower than the price of gold bars at the end of last week to now being only 600,000 VND/tael lower than the price of SJC gold bars. There are gold brands that list the price of gold rings as the same as the price of gold bars.

Notably, in the past 10 days, the domestic gold price has been continuously pushed up, so that the difference between domestic and world gold prices has now reached 11.04 million VND/tael. This is a difference of 5-6 times compared to about 2 weeks ago, causing gold buyers to face great risks at this time.
