(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and 99.99 gold rings continues to climb to new highs following the strong increase in world prices.
On the morning of February 14, businesses simultaneously changed the trading price list of SJC gold bars and gold rings.
The price of SJC gold bars listed by SJC and PNJ Companies is 88.3 million VND/tael for buying and 91.3 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 600,000 VND/tael compared to the end of yesterday.
Gold bar prices increased for the second consecutive day, by a total of about 1.1 million VND/tael.
Similarly, the price of 24K gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds also increased to 88.3 million VND/tael for buying and 91.1 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 600,000 VND per tael compared to the end of yesterday. In 2 days, the price of gold rings increased by 1.4 million VND/tael.
Gold price continues to increase in the international market today
The difference between buying and selling prices continues to remain high at around VND3 million/tael. Some units such as Mi Hong Company sell gold bars at a lower price, around VND91 million/tael.
Domestic gold prices increased as world prices jumped, far surpassing the $2,900/ounce mark. As of this morning, Vietnam time, the precious metal on the international market was trading at $2,931/ounce, up about $20/ounce compared to the previous session.
After a few sessions of stagnation, gold prices continued to rise as investors continued to choose gold as a safe haven amid growing concerns about the tariff war between the US and other countries, slowing global economic growth.
Precious metals were also supported by the weakening of the USD, when the USD index on the international market suddenly plummeted.
At around 9:00 a.m. this morning, Vietnam time, the USD index fell to 106.9 points, down 0.9% compared to the previous session.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 90.5 million VND/tael, only less than 1 million VND/tael lower than the price of SJC gold rings and gold bars.
