Gold price returns to 118 million VND/tael

After a sharp drop this morning, domestic gold prices reversed, increasing by VND800,000/tael, to VND118 million/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited increased the price of plain round gold rings from 112.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 115.3 million VND/tael (sell) at the opening to 113 million VND/tael (buy) - 116 million VND/tael (sell).

Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed gold rings at 110.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 113.3 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael each way compared to the opening price.

110.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 113.4 million VND/tael (sell) is the price listed by Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company, 300,000 VND/tael (buy) and 400,000 VND/tael (sell) higher than the same morning.

The price of SJC gold bars also recovered. Enterprises set it at 115.5 million VND/tael (buy) -118 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 800,000 VND/tael each way.

This morning, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 1.5 million VND/tael each way, down to nearly 117 million VND/tael - the lowest level in more than a month. The price of gold rings decreased by 1-1.5 million VND/tael.

Thus, despite the recovery, the price of SJC gold bars is still lower than the end of yesterday by VND700,000/tael each way; the price of gold rings decreased by VND700,000-1,000,000/tael.

Domestic gold prices increased again due to the influence of the international market. At nearly 2:00 p.m., the world gold price was trading at 3,272 USD/ounce, a significant increase compared to the level of 3,255.9 USD/ounce at nearly 9:00 a.m. the same day.

The converted world gold price is about 14.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
