Gasoline price drops to nearly 19,500 VND/liter on the afternoon of May 22

Specifically, compared to 7 days ago, in today's adjustment period, the price of RON 95 gasoline (the popular type on the market) decreased by 60 VND/liter, the retail price is 19,530 VND/liter. Similarly, the price of E5 gasoline was adjusted down by 60 VND/liter, the retail price is 19,120 VND/liter. In the opposite direction, the price of diesel oil was adjusted up by 180 VND/liter, the selling price is 17,400 VND/liter.

Similar to previous adjustment periods, in today's adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance still does not deduct nor spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, domestic gasoline prices have gone through 21 adjustment sessions; of which 9 sessions decreased, 8 sessions increased and 4 sessions were in the opposite direction.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, since implementing the management of gasoline prices every 7 days, the price fluctuation between the two basic adjustments has not been large, and domestic gasoline prices have basically followed the world price movements. In the coming time, the management agency will continue to implement solutions to ensure domestic gasoline supply.
