In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside and not to use the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) for all petroleum products.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 207 VND/liter to 19,608 VND/liter, RON 95 III gasoline increased by 234 VND/liter to a new price of 20,074 VND/liter.
While fuel oil has a new price of VND15,647/kg after being adjusted up by VND114/kg, diesel oil and kerosene have decreased by VND268 and VND54, respectively, to new prices of VND18,800/liter and VND18,660/liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world oil market during the operating period from July 31 to August 6 was affected by factors such as US tax policy, OPEC+'s decision to increase production and the Russia-Ukraine military conflict.
These factors caused world finished product prices to fluctuate in opposite directions: the average price of RON 92 and RON 95 gasoline increased by about 1.4% while the price of diesel decreased by 1.8% and kerosene decreased by 0.48%. This development was the main reason for the above domestic price adjustment.
