During this operating period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside and not to use the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) for all petroleum products.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND207/liter to VND19,608/liter, RON 95 III gasoline increased by VND234/liter to the new price of VND20,074/liter.
While fuel oil has a new price of 15,647 VND/kg after being adjusted up 114 VND/kg, diesel oil and kerosene have decreased by 268 VND and 54 VND, respectively, to new prices of 18,800 VND/liter and 18,660 VND/liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world oil market during the operating period from July 31 to August 6 was affected by factors such as US tax policy, OPEC+'s decision to increase production and the Russia-Ukraine military conflict.
These factors caused the world's finished product prices to fluctuate in opposite directions: the average price of RON 92 and RON 95 gasoline increased by about 1.4% while the price of diesel oil decreased by 1.8% and kerosene decreased by 0.48%. This development was the main reason for the above domestic price adjustment.
