2025 National Student Basketball Tournament finds worthy champion

After many days of exciting competition, the 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament ended with the men's championship belonging to Danang University, while the women's team of Ton Duc Thang University was excellently crowned after a dramatic final match.

The 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament - TV360 Cup, part of the National Student Sports Tournament (NUC) system, chaired by the Ministry of Education and Training , in coordination with Max Sports Entertainment Joint Stock Company (MSE) and Viet Digital Content and Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent), has officially ended with impressive marks, continuing to affirm its position as the largest and most prestigious student sports playground in Vietnam.

After more than a month of qualifying competition, gathering 161 teams from 131 universities, academies and colleges across the country with 241 matches, the 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament entered the final round held at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Gymnasium with the participation of 8 men's teams and 6 women's teams representing the three regions of North - Central - South.

After a week of intense and dramatic matches that took place in a vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of students and fans to cheer in person, and through social media platforms and the TV360 application, the tournament found 4 excellent names to qualify for the finals of the men's and women's events.

In the women's category, the clash between Ton Duc Thang University and Da Nang University - both teams are eager to stand on the top podium for the first time. A final match that can be said to be extremely emotional ended with the victory of the girls of Ton Duc Thang University with a difference of only 1 point (41-40), and was only decided in the last seconds.

After the exciting women's final, fans continued to be treated to another feast by the University of Transport and Danang University, with an engaging, exciting and dramatic script until the last seconds of the men's final.

The match started with an 8-0 run for the University of Transport (UTC), but the University of Danang was no pushover. They kept scoring and gradually narrowed the gap. In the end, the University of Danang did their job well on the field, thereby winning a thrilling victory with a score of 74-71. The championship was well deserved for the University of Danang as they showed their tenacity and team spirit.

Thus, the 2025 season has found outstanding teams and individuals. In the men's category, Danang University won the championship; University of Transport and Communications won second place; third place belonged to the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi and RMIT University - Ho Chi Minh City.

In the women's category, Ton Duc Thang University won the championship; Danang University won second place; third place belonged to Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

Individual awards include best male athlete Le Trung Khoa (Da Nang University) and best female athlete Bui Minh Thu (Ton Duc Thang University).

The “NUC Favorite Players Empowerment Stories Contest” category honors the two most favorite faces in 2025, Phuong Dinh An (National Economics University) and Nguyen Truc Ly (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics).
