The main solution to promote the National Highway 6 economic zone to promote the advantages of the dynamic economic zone

On December 8, the Provincial Economic Science Association coordinated with the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize a scientific workshop on "Key solutions to promote the National Highway 6 economic zone to promote the advantages of the dynamic economic zone, in implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the Son La Provincial Party Committee".

According to the master plan for socio-economic development, Son La province is divided into 3 economic regions: the economic region along the Da River, the highland and border region and the economic region along National Highway 6. In which, the region along National Highway 6 includes Son La city and the districts of Thuan Chau, Mai Son, Yen Chau, Moc Chau and Van Ho, located in the center of the province and the entire Northwest sub-region, located on the nearest arterial road from Son La to the capital Hanoi and localities in the Red River Delta; accounting for 40% of the population and 80% of the urban population of the whole province. The region plays a leading role in the economic development of the province, with a dynamic and highly qualified human resource, with many strengths in industrial crops, fruit trees, vegetables, dairy farming, processing industry, construction materials, services, tourism ..., but exploitation and development are not commensurate.

The workshop received comments from departments, branches, localities and scientists, members of the Provincial Economic Science Association, former provincial leaders, focusing on the following contents: Tasks and solutions for industrial and trade development in the economic zone along National Highway 6; solutions for developing raw material areas to serve agricultural processing facilities, developing high-tech agriculture along National Highway 6; solutions for developing urban areas and National Highway 6; solutions for developing transport infrastructure...

The reports presented at the workshop analyzed and evaluated the current situation, potential advantages, difficulties and challenges in the development process; proposed solutions for the National Highway 6 economic dynamic zone to go ahead and faster than other regions. After the workshop, the Provincial Economic Science Association will summarize the workshop results and propose and recommend solutions to the province, sectors and competent authorities, contributing to the strong development of the National Highway 6 economic zone, creating a breakthrough in the socio-economic development of the province, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress.
