The award has been organized by the Central Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology since 2003. Each year, the award honors up to 10 young scientists.
There are 5 areas for award selection, including: information technology, digital transformation and automation; medical and pharmaceutical technology; environmental technology; biotechnology; new materials technology.
Candidates for the award need to have many factors: excellent academic, research and work achievements; outstanding research works and scientific and technological solutions with high scientific value; and creative ideas that are widely applied in practice.
