The 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship is scheduled to open on June 9, 2025.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of May 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Badminton Federation to hold a meeting of the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee to deploy the organization of the 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship. Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Thi To Trang chaired the meeting. Attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

Deputy Director of the City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Thi To Trang spoke at the meeting.

The 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the city in coordination with the Vietnam Badminton Federation. It is expected that about 15 - 20 delegations will participate in the tournament (each delegation has 02 - 20 people, about 15 - 200 coaches and athletes). The tournament brings together athletes from provinces, cities and sectors across the country. Young athletes from 13 - 18 years old compete in 2 events: mixed team and individual (men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles) promising to bring attractive and fierce competitions.

The tournament is expected to take place from June 8 to June 15, 2025 and will open at 7:00 ^p.m. on June 9, 2025 at the Maritime University Gymnasium (No. 484 Lach Tray Street, Kenh Duong Ward, Le Chan District).

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Thi To Trang emphasized: The National Youth Badminton Championship is one of the key tournaments in the national competition system organized annually by the Department of Sports and the Vietnam Badminton Federation to evaluate the quality of training and education of athletes in provinces and cities across the country; Through the tournament, it is an opportunity to discover, select and nurture outstanding successors for the National Badminton Team. This year's tournament is a place for athletes to compete in order to prepare for the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026 and to promote the development of the city's Badminton movement in particular, as well as the national Badminton movement in general. The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Sports Management Department - Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Sports Training and Competition Center, the PhysicalEducation Center - Vietnam Maritime University to review the assigned tasks in Plan No. 96/KH-SVHTT dated May 23, 2025 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, paying attention to decoration and celebration work; ensuring facilities for the tournament to take place successfully./.
