According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, in 2025, Dong Phu was assigned to implement 1 advanced new rural commune and 1 model new rural commune. According to preliminary review and assessment, up to now, Tan Loi commune has achieved 10/20 advanced new rural criteria, Thuan Phu commune has achieved 4/8 model new rural criteria.
To complete the remaining criteria, the two communes were allocated 12 billion VND from public investment capital and over 3.5 billion VND from new rural career capital. According to the report, the communes have reviewed and registered the investment portfolio, and are ready with counterpart funds, but have not yet been allocated capital, so they cannot disburse.
Regarding the content of slow capital allocation, the representative of Dong Phu district leadership said that there is a specific plan to allocate capital to the communes. It is expected that public investment capital will be allocated by the end of April, new rural career capital will be allocated in May, and the disbursement of capital sources will be completed in June.
Sharing the difficulties of Dong Phu district, especially in the condition of "running and queuing at the same time", Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Le Thi Anh Tuyet requested the district to urgently complete the dossier of the new rural district to submit to the authorities and noted that in June, the disbursement of public investment capital must be completed according to regulations.
