The most successful competitors today were the athletes of the swimming team, who excellently brought home 6 gold medals for the Vietnam Disabled Sports Delegation.

After winning 1 individual gold medal and 1 team gold medal on the opening day of June 4, swimmer Vo Huynh Anh Khoa continued his good form when he finished first in the men's 100m backstroke S8 disabled category with a time of 1 minute 14 seconds 46. This is Anh Khoa's second individual gold medal and third gold medal at this year's congress.
Anh Khoa's teammate Do Thanh Hai also won the gold medal in the men's 50m breaststroke SB5, Nguyen Hoang Nha won the gold medal in the men's 100m backstroke S7 disability category, and Vo Thanh Tung won the gold medal in the men's 50m butterfly S5 disability category. But the most impressive competitor in the Vietnamese disabled swimming team today was swimmer Danh Hoa when he won 2 gold medals in the men's 200m freestyle S4 disability category and the men's 50m breaststroke SB3 disability category.
Thus, after 2 days of competition, the Vietnamese para-swimming team won 13 gold medals, previously our swimmers won 7 gold medals on June 4.
Also on today's competition day, Vietnam's disabled athletics team won 3 more gold medals thanks to Ngo Thi Lan Thanh in the women's javelin throw event, Nguyen Thi Hai in the women's javelin throw event, disability class F57, and Tran Van Nguyen in the men's discus throw event, disability class F40-41.

In weightlifting, female weightlifter Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan won 2 gold medals and broke the Games record in the women's 55kg category. With Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan's 2 gold medals, Vietnamese weightlifters now have 8 gold medals. Earlier on June 4, weightlifters Le Van Cong, Nguyen Binh An and Dang Thi Linh Phuong all won 2 gold medals in their respective weight categories.

ASEAN Para Games 12 rankings as of 9:30 p.m. on June 5
Thus, with 6 gold medals from swimming, 3 gold medals from athletics and 2 gold medals from weightlifting, the Vietnam Disabled Sports Delegation won a total of 11 gold medals on June 5, currently having 29 gold medals, 26 silver medals and 39 bronze medals. According to the rankings of the organizing committee as of 9:30 p.m. on June 5, the Vietnam Disabled Sports Delegation temporarily ranked third after Indonesia (62, 50, 31) and Thailand (34, 41, 23), and ranked fourth was Malaysia (23, 17, 13).
