Introducing Quang Nam OCOP products to the people of the capital

Quang Nam Product Festival in Hanoi City in 2023 is an activity to promote, promote and connect trade between suppliers of OCOP products, typical products and tourism of Quang Nam province with domestic and foreign consumers and businesses; to support promotion, stimulate demand, create added value and build brands for OCOP products, typical products, as well as develop tourism in Quang Nam province quickly, effectively and sustainably.

The event is organized to combine trade promotion activities with tourism and investment, aiming to promote trade promotion activities, survey and research to establish consumption points for OCOP products and typical products of Quang Nam province in some major provinces and cities; effectively implement plans and solutions for consumption and export of key products of the province, especially the province's key export products; at the same time, integrate and promote cooperation and tourism promotion activities; develop diverse high-quality and unique tourism products and services to promote interest, attract and retain visitors.

The event attracted the participation of enterprises and cooperatives, with more than 300 OCOP products, typical products of 18 districts, towns and cities displayed at the common booth of Quang Nam province with an area of nearly 300 m2 in the Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street area, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City, with OCOP products, typical products of the province and agricultural products meeting food safety and VietGAP standards.

Quang Nam is one of five provinces in the key economic region of the Central region; has diverse natural, cultural and biological conditions; has abundant natural resources with forests, seas, islands and is a place with a favorable geographical location to connect with provinces and cities in the country, the region and the world; Quang Nam has potential and strengths to develop tourism, notably with two world cultural heritages, namely Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, along with the Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve. The coastline has many beautiful beaches spread throughout such as Ha My, Cua Dai, Binh Minh, Tam Thanh, Ky Ha, Bai Rang...; with hundreds of relics and scenic spots, intangible cultural values typical of coastal, delta and mountainous residents...; has many craft villages with a long history, known to many people...

Implementing the One Commune One Product Program (2018 - 2022), the whole province has 333 products of 260 subjects of different economic organizations participating, of which business households account for a large number, 126 (accounting for 48.4%), cooperatives 90 (34.6%), enterprises and cooperatives 44 (17%). In 2 years alone (2021 - 2022), it has attracted 125 subjects of different economic organizations to participate, of which business households account for a large number, 63 (50%), cooperatives 42 (34%), enterprises and cooperatives 20 (16%). The program has created motivation and creativity, helping producers to innovate their thinking in the fields of agriculture and rural areas. Many products have beautiful designs, good quality, and are produced in accordance with state regulations. Therefore, when products participating in this program are recognized as achieving stars, they are not only consumed locally but also attract consumers nationwide, and are widely distributed in supermarket chains and clean food stores, helping the rural economy to gradually develop. By promoting the implementation of the OCOP program, the typical products of each locality have gradually affirmed their brands, improved their quality, and become known to many people, aiming for export.

On the other hand, with a favorable geographical location and rich and diverse tourism resources, Quang Nam possesses natural and human tourism resources that are great potentials that can create unique and attractive tourism products for investors and domestic and foreign tourists, contributing positively to the economic development of the locality in particular and the country in general. Tourism activities in the province have been reopened under new normal conditions and have shown many improvements./.
