Young people with social and charity activities
Nowadays, it is not difficult to see young people hanging out and drinking coffee in the same space, but each person is doing their own thing, such as: surfing Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, posting photos... Instead of chatting, confiding, sharing with each other, they are "buried" in the virtual world . Many young people proudly boast that they have made friends with thousands of people on Facebook. Every time they post information or photos, they receive many likes, shares, and comments from those friends.
With the development of technology, with just a smartphone connected to wifi, 5G, most young people have a social network account, freely express their feelings, personal thoughts, connect with friends without being bound by geographical distance. Social networks help us update daily news, preserve beautiful memories - interesting photos or videos . It is also a place to make friends, chat and learn very effectively, connecting people who have never met but share the same interests and passions.
Social networks are used by many young people to search for learning information, quotes, and extremely interesting experiences. Many people also take advantage of business accounts, both to generate income and to learn about online sales experience. Mr. Tran Trung Tinh (Chau Thanh district) said: “Social networks are not only personal spaces for each person, but also useful information channels. Through social networks, we connect kind hearts to especially difficult circumstances, “the good leaves cover the torn leaves”; share and post positive information, meaningful work”.
However, the current concern is that social networks are gradually becoming an "addictive" substance for young people. Many people consider it a source of life, spending too much time "surfing" as a habit. When eating, going to work, going to school, going to bed, even going to the toilet, they always bring their phones with them without getting bored. Many young people consider it a place to vent their anger, resentment, and curse each other. More importantly, some also spread unhealthy information, unverified spam, causing public outrage, while also lowering the reputation and honor of others.
Pham Thi Truc Giang ( An Giang University) shared: “Currently, social networks have become popular and are widely shared by everyone. Therefore, it is necessary to know how to choose official and reliable information sites; know how to master, regulate and control one's own behavior... Shaping a personal "filter" will contribute to creating a digital immune system, which can identify, filter and filter information, increase resistance; and have ways to prevent negative, bad and toxic information on social networks".
Sharing the same thought, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen (Long Xuyen City) said: "Instead of chasing virtual values, sharing good information, stories of kindness, and beautiful actions on social networks contributes to spreading life values, inspiring people to live beautifully and usefully; more empathy and sharing with each other."
Nowadays, with the development of technology, young people should have a correct view of the role of social networks. They are just tools to serve life, do not let them become invisible controllers, dominating your life. Instead of going on social networks too much, you should spend time with family, meet friends, do many other things, rather than immersing yourself in the virtual world.
