On October 24, 1959, the Central Party Secretariat issued a decision to establish the Party Committee of the Iron and Steel Construction Site (now the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company) with 5,000 party members. After 65 years of construction and development, generations of workers of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company have overcome many difficulties to complete assigned tasks, affirming the prestige and brand of TISCO steel in the market.

After 4 years of establishment, with the help of the Central Party, the Government , central and local ministries and branches, especially the efforts of the entire team, on November 29, 1963, the first batch of iron was produced at Blast Furnace No. 1. This is an important milestone, marking the process of overcoming difficulties, daring to think, daring to do, with a very high spirit of self-reliance of over 22 thousand cadres, party members and workers at the entire Iron and Steel Zone construction site.
During the development process, besides some advantages, the Company's Party Committee also encountered many difficulties and challenges in different stages, such as: The stage of both preparation and construction (1959-1964); the stage of both production and fighting (1965-1975); the stage of both overcoming difficulties and experimenting with new directions, in the context of the whole country unifying towards socialism (1976-1985) and the stage of approaching new mechanisms, innovating technological equipment, promoting internal strength and integrating for development (1986 to present)...

Since its establishment, the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Corporation has successfully organized 16 congresses. Each congress has brought a new step forward, affirming the development of the Company. In particular, since officially changing the production and business model from a state-owned enterprise to a joint stock company (in 2009), the Company has quickly and successfully adapted to the new management model. Under the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee, the Board of Directors and the Board of General Directors, along with the tradition of "Solidarity - Diligence - Courage - Creativity", most of the Company's main production and business targets have been achieved and exceeded the annual plan. Many growth targets have increased by 10-15% compared to before equitization; internal stability, Party building work and activities of mass organizations continue to be implemented synchronously according to the new management model.
Implementing the Resolution of the 16th Party Congress of the Company, term 2020-2025, the Company has encountered many difficulties and challenges: The COVID-19 pandemic has developed complicatedly, negatively affecting the socio -economy, including the production chain, the circulation chain of raw materials and goods; the world situation continues to develop complicatedly and unpredictably due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and many other regions. In the country, the construction steel market has been gloomy, with low demand due to the influence of factors such as: The real estate market is sluggish, construction projects are postponed or stopped; the disbursement rate of public investment capital is low; the steel market has oversupply.

Faced with the above difficulties, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors have reached a high level of consensus in leading and directing production and business development, while focusing on drastic management of many solutions, being proactive, flexible, changing thinking, creating conditions to promote productivity, improve working conditions and income for workers.
Along with many solutions in management and technology, the Company has achieved a number of important main production and business results in the period of 2020-2023: Industrial production value reached 43,294 billion VND; total rolled steel production output was 2,972,048 tons; total rolled steel consumption output was 2,978,909 tons; total steel billet production output was 1,332,663 tons; total pig iron production output was 743,664 tons; total coke production output was 497,340 tons; total revenue (consolidated) was 47,381 billion VND; profitable profit; paid to the State budget nearly 1,388 billion VND; ensured jobs for over 3,500 workers with an average salary of 10.9 million VND/person/month.
In the first 9 months of 2024 alone, the Company's industrial production value reached 7,745 billion VND, equal to 82% of the plan, up 15% over the same period; iron ore output reached over 184,799 tons, equal to 79% of the plan, up 20% over the same period; steel billets produced reached 204,132 tons, equal to 102% of the plan... Total revenue was 11,097 billion VND, equal to 86% of the yearly plan, up 16% over the same period in 2023; State budget payment was over 106 billion VND, up 19% over the same period...

Continuously from 2020 to present, the Party Committee of the Company has been classified by the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee as having fulfilled its tasks well. Each year, on average, 92.6% of grassroots party organizations have fulfilled their tasks well (the target is 85% or higher), of which 17.3% have excellently fulfilled their tasks; 82.9% of party members have fulfilled their tasks well (the target is 85% or higher), of which 11% have excellently fulfilled their tasks. The entire Party Committee has deployed the installation and use of the Electronic Party Member Handbook application for 100% of party members in the entire Party Committee; the total number of newly admitted party members from 2020-2023 is 211 comrades, an increase of 2.8% compared to the total number of party members at the beginning of the term (the Resolution of the 16th Party Congress of the Company set an increase of 2.5%)...
The road ahead is still full of difficulties and challenges. However, with the Company's long tradition of 65 years of construction and development, the solidarity of the team, the attention and support of the Central ministries, branches and Thai Nguyen province, the close coordination of partners, customers, the support of generations of cadres and workers through the periods..., the staff, party members and workers of the Company today will unite together to overcome all difficulties, striving to bring the Company to increasingly sustainable development.
