Delegates attending the workshop visited the booth displaying renewable energy products. |
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Pham Quang Nhat, Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that in recent times, implementing the resolutions of the Politburo and the Government, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has proposed the viewpoint of prioritizing rapid and sustainable energy development, one step ahead, associated with protecting the ecological environment, ensuring national defense and security.
One of the steps to materialize this viewpoint is to prioritize the exploitation, thorough and effective use of renewable energy sources, new energy, clean energy; sustainably associated with the protection of the ecological environment.
Currently, there are many new decrees and regulations related to the direct electricity trading mechanism and amendments to a number of articles of the Electricity Law, aiming to promote the development of renewable energy and new energy. These policies create the premise for the expansion of rooftop solar power across the country, including Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
At the workshop, many energy enterprises, commercial banks, industrial enterprises, services, industrial parks, logistics, especially key energy users (required to conduct greenhouse gas inventories) discussed many issues related to green transformation solutions, using appropriate renewable energy. In particular, the topic of solar power models combined with storage, energy management and greenhouse gas inventories received much attention.
A representative of Bach Khoa Energy Saving Joint Stock Company (SolarBK) said that according to the Power Plan VIII, the goal is that by 2030, 50% of office buildings and residential buildings will use self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power. From 2023 to present, this company has cooperated with VinFast Energy to deploy rooftop solar power technology combined with storage, creating a resonance between photovoltaic panel and storage battery manufacturers, aiming to provide "made in Vietnam" products with high quality and reasonable prices.
According to Ba Ria-Vung Tau Electricity Company, the unit is managing about 3,100 rooftop solar power customers with a total capacity of more than 275 MWp. After the Government issued decrees and regulations to encourage renewable energy development, nearly 20 more investors have registered to install rooftop solar power systems. |
“Along with that, we are developing a software system that supports automatic emission calculation and reporting according to different standards, integrating the function of converting reports into multiple languages and smart energy auditing, collecting and analyzing real-time consumption data to help businesses save resources, comply with environmental regulations, while optimizing costs and enhancing competitive advantages,” added Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh, Deputy General Director of SolarBK.
