This morning, June 5, in Hanoi, the Tax Department - Ministry of Finance organized an online conference between the national tax authorities and business households, to support, guide, and answer questions of business households in using electronic invoices generated from cash registers.
The conference was held nationwide, with the participation of tax officials at the Tax Department's bridge point, 20 regional Tax Branches, one-stop-shop units of regional Tax Branches and 350 district-level Tax Teams.

At the conference, the tax sector sent out a message and determination to spread the spirit of openness, receptiveness, listening, accompanying, promptly grasping the spirit of solving, guiding and answering the problems of business households...
From there, thoroughly disseminate to all tax authorities at all levels to apply uniformity in tax management and promptly resolve and support problems of business households nationwide.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai Son - Deputy Director of the Tax Department said that with the spirit of always accompanying businesses, business households, and taxpayers to overcome difficulties, the tax sector has proposed and reported to the Ministry of Finance to submit to the Government and the National Assembly to issue many tax solutions, and at the same time directed tax authorities at all levels to focus on implementing policies on tax, fee, and land rent exemption, reduction, and extension to support businesses, business households, and people from 2019 to present.
According to the representative of the Tax Department, in the spirit of openness and listening, the Tax Department organized the conference with the aim of grasping and listening to the difficulties, obstacles and feedback of business households in implementing registration and using electronic invoices generated from cash registers. At the same time, answering, supporting and accepting proposals and recommendations for timely research and adjustment or reporting to competent authorities.
Through the conference, the tax sector will "improve tax policies and management to be more transparent, specific, and appropriate to help businesses implement tax policies and tax obligations fully, quickly, and conveniently." - Deputy Director Mai Son emphasized.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the implementation of electronic invoices from cash registers for business households under the provisions of Decree No. 70/2025/ND-CP of the Government is one of many steps in the roadmap to build a modern, transparent tax system for taxpayers and for the sustainable development of the socio -economy.
This is a major and fundamental step in the roadmap to eliminate lump-sum tax from 2026, shifting to a self-declaration and self-payment mechanism, in accordance with the direction of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Central Committee.
According to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP of the Government, from June 1, business households and individuals with annual revenue of over 1 billion VND in the sale of goods, provision of services, catering, restaurants, hotels, passenger transport services, etc. will have to stop paying lump-sum tax. Instead, use electronic invoices generated from cash registers connected to transfer electronic data to tax authorities. |
