Google announces the Pixel Fold foldable smartphone.

According to Neowin , the Pixel Fold has a foldable design similar to Samsung's Galaxy Fold. The device is equipped with a Tensor G2 chip with a Titan M2 co-processor, combined with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage options. It has a 4,821mAh battery and supports 30W wired fast charging and Qi wireless charging.

The Pixel Fold marks Google's first step into the foldable smartphone market.

The Pixel Fold comes with a 9.5 MP f/2.2 external camera and an 8 MP f/2.0 internal camera, both with fixed focal lengths. The main 48 MP camera is paired with a 10.8 MP ultrawide camera with a 121.1-degree field of view and a 10.8 MP 5x telephoto camera supporting Super Res Zoom up to 20x. In terms of connectivity, Google equips the Pixel Fold with 5G (mmWave and Sub 6 GHz), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. It supports dual SIMs with one physical nanoSIM slot and one eSIM.

The most striking feature of the Pixel Fold is its 7.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2208 x 1840 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The screen is covered with a protective plastic layer and supports a maximum brightness of 1450 nits. The internal camera is located on the right side of the phone.

The phone has a foldable design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold.

The Pixel Fold features a 5.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2092 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and supports a maximum brightness of 1550 nits. It has a punch-hole cutout in the center for the front-facing camera to facilitate convenient selfie photography.

Finally, the Pixel Fold comes in two colors: Obsidian and Porcelain. The device is priced at $1,799 and is now available for pre-order in the US. Google will include a Pixel Watch with pre-orders starting now, and deliveries will begin in June.
