Google launches a series of AI tools

Specifically, developers and businesses will be able to experiment with new products and programming interfaces (APIs) that make building AI models easy, secure, and scalable using Google's cloud services.

Accordingly, the tech giant's cloud computing tool will provide testers with ways to bring Generative AI into applications or work right on Google's own platform.

Google has particularly high hopes for Generative AI — a type of artificial intelligence that focuses on creating new data that is similar to existing data. Specifically, this tool helps software use prompts to synthesize information or write in a conversational style.

Alphabet, Google's parent company, said its Generative AI can summarize messages by topic in Gmail, create slide presentations, personalize customer outreach and take meeting notes in an upgraded version of Google Workspace, which now has billions of users across free and paid accounts.

The launch of ChatGPT last year sparked a race among global tech giants, with Microsoft pledging billions of dollars to invest in the software’s creator, OpenAI.

Snapchat, the photo-sharing app popular with teens, said it will introduce a "powerful" chatbot thanks to the latest version of ChatGPT.

As planned, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will introduce AI tools integrated into the company's widely used business software on March 20.
