To achieve the set goals, the district has strengthened leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to promote advocacy, propaganda and raise awareness among cadres, party members and people about the meaning and importance of developing the industrial and handicraft sector in the area.
According to the planning of Phu Tho province to 2030, with a vision to 2050, in Ha Hoa district, 5 industrial clusters will be developed: Dong Phi, Am Ha, Bac Ha Hoa; Ha Hoa, Dong Phi 2. Accordingly, the district has promoted the planning of industrial clusters, carried out compensation and site clearance (GPMB) according to the planning approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Up to now, the District People's Committee is coordinating with relevant units to deploy investment in Dong Phi Industrial Cluster and procedures to establish 2 industrial clusters: Am Ha and Ha Hoa. Dong Phi Industrial Cluster has completed procedures for environmental impact assessment reports, fire prevention and fighting, technical infrastructure design and construction, traffic connection between the main road of the industrial cluster and provincial road DT315D... Am Ha Industrial Cluster has a scale of 60 hectares in Am Ha commune and Phuong Vien commune. The District People's Committee has issued Document No. 1986/TTr-UBND requesting the Department of Industry and Trade to appraise and the Provincial People's Committee to consider and approve the establishment of Am Ha Industrial Cluster. Ha Hoa Industrial Cluster has a scale of 73.37 hectares in Minh Coi and Van Lang communes. Along with that, the district has drastically implemented administrative reforms, improved the investment and business environment, attracted and effectively used resources for investment and development. Regularly monitored, supported, resolved difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for production and business development. Focused on promoting the development of key industrial and handicraft production sectors such as: Wood processing, forestry products, tea, food, garment; continued to improve the efficiency of collective economic activities, cooperatives, promoted linkages, formed value chains from production, processing to product consumption, ensuring dynamic production and business activities, achieving high economic efficiency. Actively propagated and mobilized people with raw material areas to expand production, invest in intensive farming to increase productivity and product quality to provide raw materials for processing facilities in the area.
Currently, in the district, there are 152 enterprises, 10 cooperatives and 576 individual households producing handicrafts. The enterprises are all small and medium-sized, mainly using local labor, creating jobs for about 9,700 workers (including seasonal workers), with an average income of about 6.5 million VND/person/month. In 2024, the value of handicrafts production in the area for some main products such as wood processing will reach over 435,000m3 ; plywood will reach over 300,000m3; wood chips, wood chips and pellets will reach nearly 203,000 tons ; 100,000 wooden chopsticks; paper production will reach 19,900 tons; processed tea will reach over 7,300 tons; and garment products will reach 7 million products. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the industrial and handicraft production value for some products such as: Plywood reached 76,241m3 ; peeled board 49,903m3 ; paper of all kinds 6,550 tons...
Comrade Ngo Thi Thanh Hoa - Deputy Head of the District Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Department said: Developing industry and handicrafts is an effective direction, helping to promote the process of economic restructuring, changing the face of rural areas in Ha Hoa. Thanks to the focus on technological innovation, the application of advanced machinery and equipment in industry and handicraft production, many jobs have been created, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. In 2024, the average income per capita of the district reached 50 million VND; the poverty rate decreased by 1.14%; the near-poor rate decreased by 0.48%. Thereby, reducing the migration from rural to urban areas, effectively implementing the new rural construction program in the locality.
