Folk songs and traditional costumes of the Muong people are encouraged to be used in local and ethnic ceremonies and festivals.

With the Muong ethnic group accounting for 76.1%, the Dao ethnic group 5.6% and the Mong ethnic group 0.12%, the typical cultural features of the ethnic groups are clearly expressed through traditional performances, singing and dancing such as the Cham Duong performance, Vi singing, Rang singing of the Muong people; the Chuong dance, Sinh Tien dance in the Cap Sac ceremony of the Dao people; or the Khen dance and blowing of the Mong people. Thanks to the attention and close guidance through the policies and orientations of the Party, the State and the province, these cultural values have been gradually restored, preserved and promoted, meeting the aspirations of ethnic minorities in the district.

In order to preserve precious intangible cultural values, Tan Son district has implemented many synchronous and effective solutions. Festivals such as the Going to the Field Festival on January 8, Celebrating New Rice, and the Cultural and Sports Festival of Tan Son District ethnic groups, associated with the Going to the Field Festival of Thu Cuc Commune, are held annually, creating a meaningful community cultural space. The district also actively collects and preserves ancient folk songs and scripts, and at the same time opens classes to teach and encourage mass art troupes in residential areas to operate actively. In coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the district organizes field trips, restores and opens training classes to teach traditional folk cultural forms, gradually honoring folk cultural artisans - those who keep the fire burning for the national cultural treasure.

The intangible cultural heritages that have been preserved and promoted have contributed positively to the movement of "All people unite to build a cultural life", building a civilized lifestyle and contributing to the construction of new rural areas. Ms. Hoang Thi Phuc (Muong ethnic group, Thu Cuc commune) - a typical artist shared: "Since childhood, I have been exposed to folk songs through rituals. However, I have not been able to perform them well. After participating in training courses, I have a better understanding of the uniqueness of my ethnic folk songs. Now, I am always ready to participate in cultural exchange programs and teach them to the younger generation."

In addition to intangible culture, the People's Committee of Tan Son district also focuses on the conservation, restoration and embellishment of tangible cultural relics. The district currently has 3 important relics that have been granted land use right certificates: Cua Thanh Temple in Khu Chieng, Thach Kiet commune; Via Lua Temple in Khu Giac, Thu Cuc commune; Tan Temple, Minh Dai commune. These relics are not only ancient architectural works but also important cultural activities of ethnic people during traditional holidays and Tet.
