Ha Nam urgently prepares for the 2025 Vesak Festival and the procession and enshrinement of Buddha Shakyamuni's relics at Tam Chuc Pagoda

Affirmation: The 2025 Vesak Festival and the procession and enshrinement of the Buddha's relics are important events in the process of international integration, honoring the ethical, cultural, solidarity and friendship values ​​of Buddhism, contributing to building a peaceful and happy world. Thereby, continuing to affirm the consistent policy of respecting and ensuring freedom of belief and religion of the Party and State of Vietnam. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare well the conditions for organizing the 2025 Vesak Festival and the procession and enshrinement of the Buddha's relics in Ha Nam province. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Anh Chuc requested the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to develop a plan to ensure security, order, traffic safety according to the travel route and prevent and fight fires and explosions during the organization of the 2025 Vesak Festival and the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics at Tam Chuc Pagoda from May 17-21, 2025.

Along with that, strengthen propaganda, mobilize, and guide people and tourists from all over to strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee, contributing to creating a solemn, successful and safe Grand Ceremony, promoting the beautiful images of the homeland, country, and people of Vietnam in general, and Ha Nam province in particular.

All preparations for the Great Festival are being carried out urgently.

On the side of Tam Chuc Pagoda Tourist Area, Mr. Truong Quoc Khanh, in charge of communications at Tam Chuc Tourist Area, said: During the 4 days of the Great Festival, the company has a plan to prepare 50,000 free vegetarian meals to serve tourists, Buddhists, and people every day, with the logistics force from the kitchens of Tam Chuc Pagoda and Bai Dinh Pagoda serving the processing and distribution; arranging 300-400 electric cars and nearly 30 boats to transport tourists to visit and worship the pagoda, tourists are also completely exempted from train and car tickets; organizing 19 support points to distribute free water to tourists and Buddhists and arranging rest stops with medical staff on duty to support; coordinating with functional forces and local authorities to ensure security and order, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting... Hundreds of volunteers who are students from universities, colleges, and Buddhists will participate in serving the Great Festival. The total number of people mobilized by Tam Chuc Tourist Area to serve the Great Festival is about 2,000 people. The company also reminded tourists and Buddhists coming to Tam Chuc Tourist Area during the days of the Great Festival to take care of their health, travel safely, maintain environmental hygiene, landscape, and ensure the solemnity of the Great Festival.

As scheduled, at 6:00 a.m. on May 17, the Buddha's relics will be escorted from Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) to Tam Chuc Pagoda. The relics of Buddha Shakyamuni will be enshrined at Tam The Temple for monks, nuns, Buddhists and people to come and worship. The worship time for Buddhists, people and tourists is from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day from May 17 to 19. On May 20, the Buddha's relics farewell ceremony will take place at Tam Chuc Pagoda.

In addition to worshiping the Buddha's relics, people and Buddhists coming to Tam Chuc Pagoda can also experience cultural activities such as: Celebrating the Vesak 2025 at the Vesak International Convention Center (May 18), Planting the Tree of Compassion - Nurturing Wisdom at the Compassion Nursery (May 19), Night of Lanterns to Pray for National Peace and Prosperity and Paying Respects at Tam Quan Noi (evening of May 19).
