The province has 119 kindergartens, including 113 public kindergartens, 6 private kindergartens; 94 private nursery groups, kindergarten classes, and independent preschool classes. The total number of managers, teachers, and staff is more than 5,600 people, meeting the needs of nurturing, caring for, andeducating children in the current period.
With close direction and participation of localities, departments, branches, organizations and parents' representatives; the efforts of the management team, teachers and staff of schools, the entire preschool level has implemented the topic "Building a child-centered preschool" for the period 2021 - 2025 with high results.
To implement the project, the Department of Education and Training selected 3 kindergartens to build provincial-level model schools; the Department of Education and Training of districts, towns and cities selected 18 schools as district-level model schools. At the same time, many plans and documents were issued to direct the implementation of the project according to the roadmap. The whole sector organized 447 training courses for more than 27,300 managers, teachers and staff on the 5 criteria of the project: Building a nurturing, caring and educational environment; developing a nurturing, caring and educational plan; organizing nurturing, caring and educational activities; assessing children's development; coordination between schools, parents and the community in nurturing, caring and educating children.
After 5 years of implementing the project, the facilities of schools have received increasing attention and investment. The number of public kindergartens meeting national standards at level 2 increased by 35 schools, equivalent to 30.97%. Maintain, sustain and continuously improve the quality of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children. The rate of mobilizing children to preschool education facilities has met and exceeded the annual plan target. In 5 years, the rate of mobilizing nurseries increased by 3.34%, and kindergartens increased by 0.07%. Maintain the rate of children receiving semi-boarding meals at 100%. The rate of malnourished children with low weight and stunted growth has decreased gradually with each school year. Teachers have a good grasp of the content and objectives of the program, develop appropriate plans for each age group; attach importance to the formation and development of children's capacity and life skills. 100% of children attending school are assessed for their development according to regulations, and are guaranteed safety in all aspects.
In the following school years, the Department of Education and Training will continue to direct units to maintain and promote the achieved results, overcome limitations, and improve the quality of implementing the subject in conjunction with the implementation of the Preschool Education Program. Strengthen training and coaching, focusing on educating professional ethics, fostering skills, methods of organizing activities to nurture, care for and educate children, and improving practical capacity for teachers. Do a good job of consulting, socializing education, investing in building facilities, and promoting the construction of national standard kindergartens at level 2. Strengthen propaganda work to mobilize the participation of families, communities and society in the management, supervision and participation in activities in preschools. Promote the application of information technology in management and education in preschools.
At the conference, 18 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Director of the Department of Education and Training for their outstanding achievements in implementing the topic "Building child-centered kindergartens" in the period 2021 - 2025.
