Hanoi announces 10th grade admission quotas for schools, 2023-2024 school year

On April 22, the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training announced the enrollment quota for grade 10, school year 2023-2024, for each public high school, autonomous public school, specialized school, private school, foreign-invested school, vocational education - continuing education center and vocational education institutions enrolling junior high school graduates in the city.

Among the public high schools, Viet Duc High School has the highest enrollment target of 810 students. Specifically, the school recruits 15 English classes, one Japanese foreign language class, one German foreign language class and one French class. Le Quy Don High School (Ha Dong) and Quang Trung High School (Ha Dong) also have quite high enrollment targets of 765 students.

Meanwhile, the Ethnic Boarding School only has 140 students, 35 students per class. Or at Khuong Ha Primary, Secondary and High School (Thanh Xuan), in the 2023-2024 school year, the school set a target of recruiting 280 students, 40 students per class...

For specialized high schools and high schools with specialized classes, Hanoi -Amsterdam specialized school has a target of 655 students; Chu Van An high school has 715 students; Nguyen Hue high school has 525 students; Son Tay high school has a target of 585 students.

135 students is the target of vocational education - continuing education centers in Ba Dinh, Cau Giay, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung; this is the lowest target among the centers. Vocational education - continuing education centers in Me Linh district have the highest target with 675 students.

Among private high schools, the highest are Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School and Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School (Cau Giay) with a target of 675 students; right after these two schools is Vinschool Primary, Secondary and High School with a target of 600 students...

According to the plan, students in the city must complete their registration for grade 10 admission and submit their application form on April 24, 2023 at the school where they are currently studying grade 9.

The entrance exam for non-specialized public high schools in Hanoi for the 2023-2024 school year will take place on June 10 and 11, 2023. In the 2022-2023 school year, the city is expected to have 129,210 students considered for recognition of secondary school graduation.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Hanoi City will persistently pursue the policy of ensuring that 100% of students who have graduated from junior high school, are qualified and wish to continue studying are admitted to schools.
