The Office of the City People's Committee has just issued a notice of the conclusion of Comrade Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee at the meeting to listen to the report on the preparation for organizing commemorative activities of Hanoi city and rallies, parades, and marches to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee directed that the event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 is a national-scale event taking place in the capital city of Hanoi and has special significance in the current period.
To effectively carry out the tasks and proactively organize these important activities, the City People's Committee directed the Department of Culture and Sports to promptly receive the opinions of the delegates, complete the draft Plans; Decide to establish the Organizing Committee for activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Announce the assignment of tasks to the Organizing Committee (in principle: Deputy Heads of the Organizing Committee lead and direct according to the assigned fields; Departments and branches assigned to preside over the tasks proactively organize and implement according to their functions and authority), submit to the City People's Committee before May 30.
At the same time, preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and relevant units to research and propose policies to support forces participating in serving the organization of activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country and the Capital.
The City People's Committee requests the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City and socio -political organizations to preside over and advise on the content of gift giving to people in especially difficult circumstances (union members/association members) to ensure compliance with regulations.
The city assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over research and propose policies to support near-poor households (according to central standards) suitable to the city's reality with the goal of striving for no near-poor households in the city by the end of 2025.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction, based on the Government's direction, to coordinate with local authorities to regularly review the construction of new houses or renovation and repair of houses for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs...
The Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Research and Development presides over and coordinates with the Department of Culture and Sports and relevant units to advise on the contents of organizing the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day in the space of Hanoi city.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to take the lead in proposing the implementation of investment promotion activities, introducing typical OCOP products and specialties of the Capital at the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The Department of Finance guides the city's departments, branches, sectors, unions, and People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to proactively balance the assigned budget for 2025 to perform assigned tasks; in case the budget cannot be balanced, a written document must be sent to the Department of Finance for synthesis, balancing, arrangement, and submission to competent authorities for approval according to regulations.
The City People's Committee requests that the city's departments and branches assigned to take the lead in proactively developing the Implementation Plan/Scheme, carefully preparing the organization preparation work, ensuring the successful completion of assigned tasks, successfully organizing the anniversary activities safely, effectively, thoughtfully and solemnly.
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall, based on the City's Plan and the direction of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee, develop a Plan to organize and implement activities to celebrate the anniversary locally to ensure consistency and continuity after completing the arrangement of the two-level government apparatus by July 1, 2025.
In which, it is necessary to promote the strength of the people's solidarity in the celebration activities, join hands with the city to promote the title of Heroic Capital, City for peace, friendliness, hospitality, and create a joyful and exciting atmosphere from the grassroots level, ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and suitability to the actual conditions and situation of the locality.
After the April 30 - May 1 holiday, civil servants, public employees, and workers in administrative agencies, public service agencies, political and social organizations will have a 4-day National Day holiday in 2025. This will be the last extended holiday in 2025.
