Hanoi receives the award "World's Best Golf City Destination 2023"

The award ceremony took place on the evening of October 23 in Abu Dhabi - the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This is the world's leading award system that recognizes and honors outstanding achievements in the field of golf tourism, world-class golf courses, golf destinations, etc. The World Golf Awards was established in 2014 with the aim of raising standards in the golf tourism industry.

At this ceremony, Hanoi was honored for the first time by the World Golf Awards Organization with the award “World’s Best Golf City Destination 2023”. This is the result of a year-long vote among hundreds of experts, media agencies, golf travel companies, golf course owners, hotels and golf associations from countries around the world.

Nominated cities must pass many strict selection criteria such as: Golf infrastructure system, golf support services, accommodation system. To achieve this prestigious award, Hanoi has the honor of surpassing other cities famous for golf tourism products such as Paris (France), New York (USA), ...

This award is for the efforts and results that the Capital's tourism industry has achieved in recent times, and at the same time shows the advantages of the Capital in developing this product line.

Golf tourism is considered a potential tourism product, making an important contribution to attracting international tourists to Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular, especially groups of tourists from key markets such as Korea, Japan, the US, Europe, etc.

Currently, in Hanoi city, there are 6 golf course clusters with 10 international standard golf courses with diverse natural landscapes, meeting the diverse needs of players such as: Long Bien Golf Course, Van Tri Golf Club, Kings' Island Golf, Minh Tri Golf Course, Legend Hill, ... Besides, the accommodation system, especially 4-5 star hotels and resorts have been invested synchronously and modernly.

The Capital Tourism Industry is implementing and will implement many groups of tasks and solutions to promote the development of golf tourism, such as: Building golf tourism products; promoting, advertising, organizing golf tournaments, organizing conferences and seminars on golf tourism development...

In November, Hanoi Department of Tourism presided over and coordinated with Tien Phong Newspaper, Vietnam Golf Tourism Association, Son Tay Town People's Committee, 15 northern provinces and cities and related units to jointly organize a program to connect golf tourism products between Hanoi city and northern provinces and cities in 2023.
