(Dan Tri) - The newly opened coffee shop located in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi, attracts mostly young customers to take photos and experience thanks to its unique skylight space with a giant bookshelf containing about 3 tons of books.
Even though it was a weekday, the number of customers coming to Tiny Revolution cafe was quite bustling. Most of them were young people coming to experience the new space, study, work or take photos to check-in. Located right on the main road in Hoang Mai district (Hanoi), the shop is not too easy to find if customers do not know the exact address. After parking their vehicles at an electronics supermarket, customers enter the elevator to go up. In contrast to the tiny space inside the elevator, when stepping outside, many customers are surprised by the large space that appears before their eyes. The most special highlight in the middle of the first floor space is the skylight with an area of 75m2. Surrounded by giant shelves with about 3 tons of books. Opened since the end of November, the shop is becoming an attractive destination because it is shared a lot on social networking platforms. The total usable area of the shop is about 1,600m2 with 2 floors, can welcome up to 500 guests at the same time. On weekends, the shop is often full of customers.
According to the owner, this is not a book cafe. The huge amount of books was ordered by the owner from familiar sources and had to be collected for 2 months to have enough. These books and newspapers are used for many different purposes, but mainly to enhance the experience for customers, creating more highlights for the space. Although it has only been open for a short time, the shop has also attracted foreign customers to experience and read their favorite books. "There are so many coffee shops in Hanoi for customers to choose from, but finding a place with a spacious space with a skylight surrounded by giant bookshelves like this is very rare. This is also my favorite space here because it feels filled with knowledge. Along with the common corner, each customer has a lot of private space to work privately," said Ms. Hanh Linh from Dong Da district. According to Dan Tri reporter's observation, most of the customers coming to the restaurant are young people who come to study, entertain or work. With the skylight as the highlight, the restaurant is divided into areas using a lot of wood materials, creating a feeling of closeness to nature. Guests can book a private meeting room for a price equivalent to about 8 drinks. Duc Minh (20 years old, a student at the National Economics University) said that this is a cafe that meets his study needs because the space is open but not too noisy. "The desks are spacious, with charging sockets available for customers to sit and work comfortably for many hours. In my opinion, that is a plus point," Minh commented. In addition to books and newspapers, the shop is also decorated with antiques that the owner has painstakingly collected such as violins, cameras, telephones... Not long ago, two young girls from Long Bien district learned about the shop through social media. They said they came here to relax, entertain and take pictures. "There are many different angles designed here for customers to get the photos they want. The shop is spacious but still full, creating a warm and comfortable feeling. However, for me personally, the drinks are just acceptable and not sharp," said Linh Chi, 21 years old. Mr. Phi Lan Khoa, the owner of the shop (pictured), said that initially this area was planned to be decorated with pictures. But the final solution was to use books of various types. According to the owner, this solution would increase the cost by 2-3 times. However, here, customers can find their favorite books. According to research, the price of drinks ranges from 30,000 VND to 55,000 VND. In addition to drinks, the shop only serves cakes, not meals. The shop is open from 7am to 10:30pm every day. The shop's parking area is located in the same area as the electronics supermarket on the first floor. If you come on the weekend, you may have to wait in line for the elevator to get to the shop.
