The Hanoi People's Council has just announced that the regular mid-year meeting in 2023 will be held from July 3-7, 2023.

According to the announcement, the meeting is expected to consider and approve 46 contents. Of these, there are 17 reports; 29 contents propose to issue Resolutions (1 regular resolution, 27 thematic resolutions and 1 resolution on personnel work).
At the meeting, many important contents will be considered by the City People's Council, notably, regulations on tuition fees for public preschool and general education institutions for the 2023-2024 school year; regulations on tuition fee ceilings for high-quality public educational institutions in the capital; regulations on prices for preschool and general education services using the state budget applicable to public preschool and general education institutions that have not yet covered their regular expenses in Hanoi.
Notably, the City People's Council is expected to consider and approve the adjustment of the price list of land types in the city, applicable until December 31, 2024; naming and adjusting the length of a number of roads, streets, and public works in the area.
In particular, the City People's Council will also consider and approve the project to establish Dong Anh district and wards in Dong Anh district; regulate the minimum housing area for rented, borrowed, and temporary houses for citizens to register for permanent residence in Hanoi; support mechanisms for funding for the city's Project Management Boards, Hanoi Radio and Television Station, and Hanoi Moi Newspaper to streamline staffing, etc.
In addition, at this session, the City People's Council will spend 1 day to conduct questioning and answering activities on the implementation of socio-economic tasks, security, national defense and urgent people's issues that the City People's Council delegates and voters of the Capital are interested in.
