Hanoi considers awarding titles in the field of intangible cultural heritage

The plan aims to select and honor individuals who are Vietnamese living and working to protect intangible cultural heritage in the City with good moral qualities, exemplary in life; have outstanding talents or professional skills, typical of the type of intangible cultural heritage being honored; exemplary in practice; have great contributions recognized for the cause of protecting and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage held by the individual; have taught many individuals who are participating in protecting and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage in one of the following types: Language, writing; folk literature; folk performing arts; social customs and beliefs; traditional festivals; folk knowledge; traditional crafts to submit to the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism to submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and submission to the President to award the title of "People's Artisan", "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage for the 4th time.

Accordingly, the City People's Committee requested the organization to consider awarding the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage at the City Council level to ensure the correct subjects, standards, order, procedures, and documents prescribed in Decree No. 93/2023/ND-CP dated December 25, 2023 of the Government and current relevant legal documents.

Regarding the assignment of tasks, the Department of Culture & Sports is the Standing agency for the work of awarding the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage for the 4th time in Hanoi. It is responsible for presiding over and advising on and organizing the contents of the City People's Committee's Plan, awarding activities according to the order and procedures prescribed in Decree No. 93/2023/ND-CP dated December 25, 2023 of the Government and related legal regulations.

At the same time, chair and organize the training conference, guide the implementation of regulations on documents and procedures for proposing the awarding of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage for the fourth time in Hanoi. Chair and coordinate with relevant units to inspect, appraise, synthesize documents, prepare documents and contents related to the awarding activities to serve the meeting of the City-level specialized Council...
