Specifically, the Thanh Liem - Binh Luc Regional Tax Department ( Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department) has just issued a decision to enforce the measure of stopping the use of invoices against Minh Anh 8 Construction Joint Stock Company (located in Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam).
The reason for the enforcement is that this enterprise has tax arrears that are over 90 days past the deadline for payment as prescribed. The amount of money being enforced is over 302 million VND.
For the same reason, Hung Hoa Company Limited (Liem Phong Commune, Thanh Liem District, Ha Nam) was also forced by the authorities to stop using invoices. The amount of money forced was over 338 million VND.
Regarding this issue, for taxpayers with tax arrears of less than 90 days, the General Department of Taxation ( Ministry of Finance ) has requested units to immediately implement communication measures (call, text, send emails, invite to work, issue tax arrears notices), urge taxpayers to pay money to the state budget, not let tax debts drag on, prolong, and limit new debts arising.
For taxpayers with tax arrears of more than 90 days or tax arrears subject to enforcement, tax departments must immediately apply enforcement measures to recover tax arrears for the state budget.
In case the enforcement decision expires and the taxpayer has not paid or has not paid the full amount of tax debt subject to enforcement to the state budget, it is necessary to promptly switch to applying appropriate enforcement measures in accordance with regulations.
The General Department of Taxation also requires tax departments to publicly disclose information of taxpayers with overdue tax debts in accordance with the law, especially focusing on taxpayers with large and long-term tax debts.
