This is the first night tourism product of Hai Phong city applying modern digital technology to heritage space, promising to become a new highlight, attracting tourists during this year's summer tourist season.
Hang Kenh Communal House (Hang Kenh Ward, Le Chan District) is a national architectural and artistic relic, famous for its sophisticated carvings and long-standing historical value. Not only is it a place to worship the village's tutelary god, this ancient communal house is also a traditional cultural meeting place with unique folk art activities such as ca tru, water puppetry, etc.
The combination of modern projection technology in the sacred space of the communal house is a breakthrough in exploiting the cultural heritage value of Hai Phong .
The night tour program will be developed into a specialized tourism product for groups of guests who love technology, heritage and want to explore the depth of Hai Phong culture at night. The highlight is the 3D Mapping performance with the theme "Bach Dang Waves - Ngo Quyen's Heroic Spirit", recreating the heroic history of the nation's resistance against foreign invaders and defending the country associated with the Bach Dang victory in 938.
The program will lead visitors through 5 segments: from the image of Duong Lam Ancient Village - Ngo Quyen's hometown, to the scene of military training, tide research, stake arrangement and the grand scene of the historic Bach Dang naval battle. The effects of light, sound, and moving images on the ancient communal house background will create a lively, realistic and emotional space.
Notably, after the presentation, visitors will be able to visit the communal house grounds, listen to explanations about the history of Hang Kenh communal house, intangible cultural values such as ca tru, water puppetry and burn incense to commemorate the national hero Ngo Quyen. This is not only a tourist activity but also contributes to educating the younger generation about historical and cultural traditions.
To ensure the quality of the event, the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with art, technology, security, medical and travel agencies. The work of checking the program content, ensuring safety, visitor capacity and performing arts is being carefully reviewed.
Resources for program implementation mainly come from socialization, in combination with state management agencies, while effectively exploiting the value of local intangible cultural heritage.
As planned, the Hang Kenh communal house night tour will officially open at the end of June and aim to become a regular night tourism product of the city.
In addition, the program is also part of a series of activities to stimulate domestic tourism, especially attracting technology-loving customers, passionate about heritage exploration and young people this summer. Promotional activities are being strongly coordinated through digital platforms, press and travel agencies in the area.
Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong city affirmed: With the combination of long-standing cultural heritage and modern technology, the night tour program at Hang Kenh communal house on the platform of applying digital technology 4.0, combined with 3D Mapping performance, is expected to create a new tourism experience, contributing to enriching the picture of night tourism in Hai Phong, while spreading the love of history and national culture to the public.
